JENKS, Okla., April 20, 2018 – The Commercial Real Estate Development Association, NAIOP’s Oklahoma chapter, awarded Gateway Mortgage Group’s founder and CEO Kevin Stitt on Thursday with Development of the Year. The 2017 Deals of the Year Awards Event was held at the Mayo Hotel in downtown Tulsa and recognized the region’s top projects, deals and industry players of 2017.

Each year, NAIOP selects from an impressive list of nominees across the state that are evaluated on a multitude of criteria exemplifying best practices in building and development, and have a significant impact on the Oklahoma community.

“Kevin’s involvement developing the Gateway District was on a short list of keynote projects that commanded our attention for this award,” said Bill Beichler, Vice-President of NAIOP’s Oklahoma Board of Directors. “Specifically, it was Gateway Mortgage Group’s new headquarters that surpassed other nominees considered.”

Gateway’s new headquarters spans 86,000 square feet and sits on a portion of 14 acres owned by Stitt. The building is located at US Highway 75 and West Main Street and is 3.0 miles from Tulsa Hills and Riverwalk Crossing. The building anchors a district that is intended to grow the Jenks community with new restaurants, office space and further retail development.

This is the first year NAIOP has awarded the Development of the Year award in the state of Oklahoma. Other awards included developer of the year, member of the year and sale of the year.
