TULSA, Okla., Sept. 28, 2018 – Gateway Mortgage Group, a full-service mortgage company founded by Kevin Stitt, was recognized as a Corporate Health Champion finalist at the 2018 Champions of Health Gala. The awards celebrate people and organizations making a positive impact on Oklahoman’s health through innovative programs.

Gateway’s corporate health and wellness program serves 1,200 employees nationwide. It encompasses health education, lifestyle support and comprehensive benefits, which include medical plans, dental and vision, insurance and income protection, wellness, and retirement. Gateway’s Community and Culture Health Specialist, Eric Moon, shares the importance of understanding how to use benefits with employees. He educates about overall wellness, chronic-condition management, preventative medicine and self-health awareness.

Gateway hosts events throughout the year to encourage employees to increase their physical activity, including walking challenges, stair-climbing challenges, and daily fitness classes, among others. Most of Gateway employees participate in these initiatives.

This year marks 15 years of celebrating Oklahoma’s health leaders through the Champions of Health awards, presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oklahoma in partnership with many other organizations. Ticket sales and sponsorships benefit the nonprofit Oklahoma Caring Foundation, Inc.
