Gateway Mortgage Group, a Division of Gateway First Bank Celebrates Folds of Honor Donation

San Angelo, TX, Nov. 5, 2019 – Gateway Mortgage Group, a division of Gateway First Bank, presented a check to Folds of Honor for $12,470 today at the Bentwood Country Club. Destiny Brown, Folds of Honor scholarship recipient, attended the ceremony and accepted the donation on behalf of the organization.

Gateway is committed to donating $5 for every mortgage loan closed through its retail locations to Folds of Honor to be used for educational scholarships to the families of military men and women who have fallen or been disabled while on active duty in the United States armed forces.

“Gateway is founded on the core value of being passionate about strengthening families,” said Rob Wiggins, regional vice president. “We are proud to partner and serve with an organization that does so much for our country’s veterans and their families who have made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting our freedoms.”

In 2019, Gateway First has already originated more than $5.5 billion in mortgage loans putting the company on pace to increase from 2018.  Last year was the previous record-holding year, with total production reaching more than $6.1 billion. Gateway First expects 2019 annual loan volume to exceed $7 billion, which would be the best production year on record for the company.
